The original BioRich composting facility was established to meet the compost needs of its owner. From this emerged a commercial composting operation. Now BioRich has evolved into a company that offers a range of organic waste solutions for companies and councils.
Putting Together An Effective System
The compost is made from a mixture of animal manures, fish waste, paunch grass from abattoirs, waste from food and petfood manufacturers, fruit waste from packhouses and grape waste from wineries. No human waste is included in the organic certified compost. Bulking material such as bark, sawdust, and shredded municipal green waste is added to the mix to create the optimum carbon-to-nitrogen ratio. This also helps the compost to decompose aerobically.
